Recommended Video games to play or something. [FC]

Decided to write a list of recommended video games to play here, no, Call of duty nor Battlefield will be featured here. I will provide links to steam pages where you can buy said games, or where you can download them, because at least I do want you to give these games a shot.

Hotline Miami: Hotline Miami is a top-down "turn everything into a red mist" them-up. Set in 1989, Hotline Miami follows an unnamed protagonist, whom the fans have dubbed "Jacket" due to his distinct varsity jacket. Jacket is an operator for the vigilante movement, 50 blessings, a movement dedicated to taking down the russian mafia in Miami, and thats about as much plot as you are getting, as I really want you to play this game. The gameplay in Hotline Miami is simple, you die in one hit, everyone else dies in one hit, now that may seem unfair, but the game makes it fair, somehow. With tight controls, responsive weapons, and satisfying ways to enact the hurt upon the mobsters, Hotline Miami's gameplay is very good, and very fast paced. The music in Hotline Miami is a topic many people like to discuss, as it has an extremely good soundtrack, made up of several different artists, making the soundtrack feel like a mixtape. A lot of the music in Hotline Miami is extremely good, even though they were licenced by other artists, those artists did very good jobs on the soundtrack. The link to the Steam page where Hotline Miami can be purchased is here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/219150/

Doom: The father of First Person Shooters, Doom is what most people (well, sane people) will think of when FPS games are mentioned. Doom's plot is very simple, An unnamed marine (supposed to be you) is sent to a colony on one of Mars' two moons, Phobos and Deimos, with the player being sent to Phobos, at the time however, teleportation experiments are taking place between Phobos and Deimos, where test subjects either enter a violent rage, explode into a ton of bits, or not coming out of the other end of the teleporters at all, the experiments were about to shut down when the teleports come online, and demons start pouring out of both ends, along with Deimos completely disappearing out of the sky. A marine squadron was sent to a distress signal from Phobos, the marine squad having the player in it, your player character is told to stand put, given only a pistol and 50 rounds of ammo, as the rest of the marines get slaughtered by the demons in the base, the player reluctantly goes into the base. And thats with the plot, now onto the gameplay. The gameplay in Doom is very fast paced, with the player being able to run at lightning speeds, and being able to use a variety of weapons against the monsters, such as a shotgun, a chaingun, rocket launcher, plasma rifle, and the ever important BFG 9000, along with that, there are many monsters to gun down and avoid being gunned down by, such as the imp, demon, baron of hell, and cacodemon. The music in doom is very good, with most of it being very similar to various 80's thrash metal bands, such as Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and many more. A link to where you can purchase Doom is here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/2280/

  1. I've always loved DOOM. I have never played Hotline Miami. I'll have to check it out.
